China will hold the 15th International Infrastructure Investment and Construction Forum from June 19 to 21 in Macao, and promote the city to further participate in the development of the Belt and Road Initiative.
As the largest and most influential annual industry event in the field of global infrastructure cooperation, more than 3,000 people from 69 countries and regions have confirmed their attendance so far, including more than 60 ministerial-level guests and over 800 senior executives from international engineering and industrial chain enterprises.
This year, the forum will continue to release the 2024 infrastructure development index and report of the BRI economies, as well as the 2024 infrastructure development index of Portuguese-speaking countries.
The forum will highlight Macao elements and promote their integration with major national development strategies. The event will encourage more exhibitors who are suitable to meet the local demand in Macao to showcase their latest engineering technologies, mechanical and electrical equipment, and services.
Meanwhile, the 10th China-LAC Infrastructure Forum will be held during the same period in Macao, and it stands as the only professional forum for cooperation between China and Latin American and Caribbean countries in the field of infrastructure.
Since the holding of the first forum a decade ago, it has facilitated the signing of 33 cooperation agreements between China and Latin American and Caribbean countries, covering sectors such as transportation, housing construction, energy and electricity, and sewage treatment. The accumulated signing amount has exceeded $25.4 billion.
